Why We’re Backing Moor Trees
We grew up in Totnes, right on the edge of Dartmoor. It’s the kind of place that gets under your skin. Big skies, rolling hills, pockets of woodland that feel special. So teaming up with Moor Trees felt less like a business decision and more like common sense.

What Moor Trees Actually Do
Moor Trees grow native trees from locally collected seed, then plant them back into the landscape across Dartmoor and beyond.
It’s not about planting trees for the sake of it. It’s about doing it the correct and long lasting way. Restoring habitats, locking carbon into the ground, and giving wildlife somewhere to get back on its feet. They work closely with Dartmoor National Park, local landowners and volunteers, so every bit of woodland they create is rooted in the community as much as the soil itself.

How We Support Them
We’re part of 1% for the Planet, which means we commit 1% of our annual revenue to environmental causes that deliver. Moor Trees is one of those.
So rather than one-off gestures or vague promises, a slice of what we make goes directly into their work. Growing trees, planting them, and looking after them long after the photo’s been taken.

Why It Matters to Us
This is our patch. It’s where we grew up, and it’s still where we bake.
Supporting Moor Trees is a way of putting something back into the landscape that shaped us. It’s practical, long-term, and grounded in real work rather than nice words.
Every time you buy a cake from us, you’re helping support projects like this.
Cake that tastes good and does a bit of good while it’s at it.
